The Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters (EMERCOM of Russia) performs the most difficult humanitarian operations inside and outside Russia.
The Federal State Establishment EMERCOM Agency was created by the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia in 1996 in an effort of the Russian top leadership to provide rapid and effective solutions to international humanitarian operations.
Specialized organization “EMERCOM-DEMINING – Center of Humanitarian Demining and Special Blasting Operations” was established in 2000 by the EMERCOM Agency in execution of the Russian President’s Decree “For Russian participation in international humanitarian demining operations”. In 2003 our organization was reorganized in Join Stock Company.
We pride ourselves on the Customer-oriented and project-specific approach coupled with accident free record.
For the duration of its existence EMERCOM-DEMINING succeeded in performing about 35 contracts with 23 303 238 m2 of territories and water areas cleared from explosive ordnance and handed over to our Customers.
Stringent safety rules and quality control are of a prime importance to us. All operations are performed in strict accordance with International Mine Action Standards (IMAS). Moreover, we are instrumental in formulating national standards in humanitarian demining.
Currently our organization develops a Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001-2000 requirements.
In 2005-06 EMERCOM-DEMINING together with Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining participated in preparation of the Russian version of IMAS
Under discussion is the development of the International standards of underwater demining together with Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining.
We take a long-term view in establishing cooperation with our partners, both locally and internationally, in operating with the highest standard of ethics and integrity at all times.
